About LOMA

As a non-profit organization composed of large and small businesses as well as individuals, LOMA is a reflection of the vibrant business community and cultural life that occurs each day in Lower Manhattan. LOMA members are drawn from the ranks of the major government and financial companies but also represent the local tourism, arts, cultural and media institutions that are so much a part of the fabric of the Downtown community. The retail community has consistently played a major role in the LOMA community and represents the wide breadth of world class shopping opportunities that are available Downtown.

LOMA is dedicated to a provide a business to business forum for to bring large, medium and small lower Manhattan companies and institutions together to exchange information, establish joint marketing relationships and present new products, services and opportunities.

Membership is the heart of our organization and LOMA members tell us that this is one of the premier networking and community-building organizations in the City. Members are able to expand their access to business opportunities Downtown while networking and sharing their expertise with other business leaders and entrepreneurs. General meetings are held once a quarter at premier venues and give members a chance to invite co-workers and colleagues to these large scale meetings. Members can also leverage our new Web site to feature seasonal promotions and special events as well as keep their colleagues informed of happenings and opportunities at their firms.

LOMA, the Lower Manhattan Marketing Association, was founded in 1987. Its mission is to focus attention to the features, attractions and cultural components that make up this key New York City community.

LOMA is a completely voluntary organization with no salaried staff. View LOMA's current Board of Directors.

LOMA is made up of marketing representatives from various Lower Manhattan attractions, businesses and institutions.

LOMA's purpose is to encourage the visitors, workers and residents in Lower Manhattan to explore and enjoy the many attractions below Canal Street.

LOMA has produced and distributed 1,000,000 copies of the full-color "Map and Guide to Lower Manhattan."
